Just A Pony          

  From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, its just a pony",

or that's a lot of money for " just a pony"...

They don't understand the distance traveled,

the time spent or the costs involved for "just a pony"

Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a pony", but I did not once feel slighted.

 Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a pony"

and in those days of darkness,

 the gentle touch of "just a pony" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day

 then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend", "just a sunrise", or "just a promise"

Please help us remember the following ponies who died January 21, 2006 in a barn fire. Their contributions to the American Shetland Pony breed were outstanding and we intend to honor their memory with grace and dignity.  Help us to celebrate their lives by remembering the happy times we had with them , and the sons and daughters they gave us.
